SECURITY & SURVEILLANCE

Drones are already used to monitor events, as a flexible camera in the sky and also as a detection tool for security and police services. In the future, these drones will also be able to fly autonomously to automatically monitor certain areas and buildings (trigger based or on a fixed schedule). Things like face recognition and weapon recognition may be standard for this type of monitoring. The technology is often already available or being devoloped in many cases; it is still awaiting the legislation that grants more autonomy to the drone. In the inspirational video below you will get an overview of current developments and opportunities.
